Bussing in branding for Multichoice

MultiChoice Namibia literally took to the streets with its latest advertising campaign which was conceptualised together with advertising agency Ogilvy Namibia, a partner agency within the Ogilvy Africa network. The campaign makes use of a fleet of eight branded buses as an alternative to traditional outdoor advertising in the Namibian market.

MultiChoice launches DTT in Namibia

A new digital broadcast system will bring remarkably better television signals to Namibians in Windhoek when it is launched in mid-February by DSTV. The system uses the same frequencies as the current analogue transmission, but provides much clearer pictures and better audio quality.

Is 'German engineering' what you want for your beer?

As an 'old' Namibian, I couldn't resist writing about the Windhoek Lager ad, "German engineering where you need it second most..." The "Windhoek" ad capitalises on this instant recognition with a luxury car manufacturer's slogan and the borrowed and re-worked pay-off line is certainly humorous for those in the know. Yet, I am in two minds about it.
